Hiya! Welcome to my site!

My name is Julia Heck. I was born in Rochester, NY and went to high school here. I went to college at SUNY Oswego and then moved to Jacksonville, FL once graduating. I taught 7th grade math for three years at a middle school in St Augustine. In May of 2019 I got a job as an Implementation Consultant. I travel all over the country to help configure and implement the software at the different clients! I love my job :)

In November of 2019 my life was flipped completely upside down when I was diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer. I moved back to Rochester to be with my family and am going through treatment at Pluta Cancer Center. Luckily, I can still work for my company since I work remote. I am not traveling nearly as much, but still working full time and attending meetings remotely.

I miss my life in Jacksonville so much, but expect to be back at some point once we find out that this cancer is stable and I'm doing well!

This has been a hell of a journey, but has taught me more than I could've ever imagined. I have more goals than I ever did and I want to help people even more than before! My latest goal is to be able to speak about my journey and share this with people because I know when I first got diagnosed, there wasn't much information about Stage IV Breast Cancer in 25 year olds.
